Been getting extreme lag.

Hola, I haven't played HnH in about 5 months. I've finally managed to get bored enough to start craving a fix again.

The game has always run fine on my computer, even into world 5. But all those months back I had to have my computer re-formated. Now the game is laggy to the point where playing is nigh-impossible. It can't even load the background on the avatar, let alone the items.

I heard from another thread my problem might be a crappy video driver/graphics card, and if that is the case then I was wondering if any of you fine gentlemen know of anywhere I could download an adequate one for free, as I am a cheap bastard.

There's been some hardware issues recently. The last week has been horrible with a ton of downtime. Read about it here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=20403

There might be issues on your end. Might want to check things out just in case it isn't just the server choking.

Best thing to do is to check you hardware manufacturer's website. Those are all free. If you're looking for a 3rd party driver, I've always liked Omegadrivers, but I've not updated in nearly a year (haven't had any issues) and not sure if drivers are still on a pay as you can basis.

I read about the hardware issues, but this starting 5 months ago so it could be that. After hearing about them I tried playing again with no change since the re-format.
