no boat no fun

Nice I just loged in while leaving in a hurry yestearday now Im on a middle of a river my boat has disappeared and I cant move.. just great

Unfortunately, this is a known issue. Either nobody has come up with a satisfactory solution, or the devs like it the way it is.
At this point, I'm not sure I'd call it a bug or a feature. Just make sure to never log out while in a boat. Also, make sure you don't log out carrying a boat. It also causes issues.

You might have logged out, your boat didnt....
A boat in the middle of the river is always going to be checked out for goodies as its probably been left by someone who crashed/logged out
