Branches that don't have quality? What?

I've got some branches (having found them in a cupboard, heh) that don't seem to have any quality; on mouseover, instead of getting a message of 'Branch, quality n', it just says 'Branch'. Are they just quality zero? Or bugged in some other way?

quality 1 says quality 1. you can easily see it with seeds and crops using WWW and an alt with farming lvl 1.
