Cave miss connect

Found a cave that when you enter it you dont come out in a underground cave. Instead you are standing underground with nothing but blackness all around you for several tiles. The cave is 5-6 tiles infrount of you. AS you cant mine within 50 tiles of a cave enterance I assume the above ground cave was supposed to link to the below ground cave. Which didn't happen. A map error between surface and lvl one of underworld.

The entrance and the cave itself are ~5 tiles apart is what he's saying, making it impossible to enter the cave. There are lots of these buggy caves though and some of them are pretty cool.
