All well and good, but a lot of people don't have a clue what they're searching for. At least OP has enough sense to post the error log that he got.

OP: this is a pretty common error. It's usually due to a server problem or a client being out of date. (There have been other more obscure causes.) When it's a server error, almost everyone is getting it. When it's a client error, there's all kinds of potential factors. Try clearing the cache for Java so you get the most recent haven launcher or do as boshaw suggests and get Ender's here: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=14575.

I can't recite the steps off the top of my head. I'd need to Google "how do i clear the cache in Java" or something like that. It should be under the General tab in the box labeled "Temporary Internet Files". Open the settings and click the "Delete" and it should be safe to wipe everything out. (I can't guarantee it because I don't know what you have on your system, but if it loaded as temporary, it shouldn't have been anything that needed to be kept.)
