Container inside house emptied

Postby pgelinas » Thu Oct 20, 2011 3:25 pm

I just had a rather unpleasant surprise this morning when I logged in: all the stuff inside the containers of my house was gone. I had three cupboards and a crate that were full, now all empty. Not sure what caused this but I'm almost 100% sure that nobody touched those. I talked with my brother who plays with me and he said he logged in 30 min after I logged out yesterday and everything was already gone. We also had 2 crates outside the house, in the claimed area, that were left intact.

1) Could be that someone trespassed and stole it all? Don't think so, 3 cupboards and a crate is a lot of stuff to steal! Would have taken more than half an hour to do. Also, there was some useless junk in there (blocks of wood and branch, q10, for one)
2) Could be that someone trespassed and emptied the containers? More probable, but I would think that my brother would have found the stuff on the ground when he logged in. I don't know what's the timeout on items on the ground before despawning, but still, a 30 minutes window is small...

Also, I didn't see any scents. But then, I might not have enough PER*EXP...

Anyone has any idea? I don't want to shout BUGS! uselessly if I can avoid that :P

Thanks

Do you have the Ranging skill?
Ranging is the skill needed to find clues, and track crimes.

Good point :P And no, I don't.

So, it might just have been a robery/grief that happened in that 30 min timespan? Pretty unlucky...

Hummmm, I just noticed that my claim doesn't cover the house in its entirety... The claim was covering the door so I thought I was safe. The cupboards were in the opposite wall of the door and the back wall of the house isn't covered by the outside claim, so someone could just trespass and empty the cupboards without any criminal skills? I' m just wondering how claims transfer to inside areas (such as cave?).

I don't remember how claims deal with cabins exactly, but if it covered the door, everything inside was covered.
