Possible Bug/Glitch?

Possible Bug/Glitch?

I just got back on after a break from the game and my characters were fine. Now today I try to go back on, and they won't show up. They can't be dead, because it won't offer me inheritance. I can't log in to them. Any explanations, or reasons that they would be dead? I had two characters, named Ruins and Snow. Snow was a key alt, and Ruins was the descendant of my previous characters, who were the founders of a village. (Not a village claim, but there were several people living together under a palisade.)
