There's some issues loading graphics on some computers. Nobody has been able to trace it down and fix it. How long are you letting the client run before shutting it down? If you want to provide system specs on a Windows system, run dxdiag.exe and save the output to a text file. It'll provide much more helpful information.

One of the things I've found that helps is when you open Ender's up, make sure your return the window to a "normal" size before logging in. Try to log out inside a building. It will have less to try loading at start up and will be less likely to get stuck in what seems to be an infinite loop.

Try using Arksu (in the stickies on The Wizards' Tower) or Gilbertus's client (you'll need to search for this one and maybe even update it; instruction are in The Wizards' Tower). These both allow you to do some of the things in Ender's and don't seem to have the same issues. However, they are both lacking in many of the features Ender's has.

What I don't see, and is probably the most important information, is what video card/chipset do you have and what driver version are you running? Given you're on a laptop, you probably don't know this. Open Device Manager through the Control Panel>System. It's on the Hardware tab. Under the heading "Display adapters" it should say what the manufacturer and model number is. If you double click on the video card and select the Driver tab, it'll tell you what the driver version is. You may need to update the driver to get better OpenGL support (or updating might not do anything for you).

How long are you waiting for the program to load? It takes my computer upwards of 15 minutes at times to load Ender's client. Have you tried finding the Gilbertus or Arksu client and trying those?
