At first I had a fully equipped fishing pole, then I logged off and when I logged back on the fishing pole was merely just a stick.
It did not trouble me, so I just found apiece of string and placed it on the pole. Instantly the pole was fully equipped again like magic. I though that there wasn't a bait/lure on it, so I shift clicked on a rock lobster lure and it did so anything so i tried a pinecone plug and it turned into a rock lobster lure! I think its a glitch cause even though i had everything equipped i still cant fish...

sounds like you need a hook.

When in doubt, right click the fishing pole and you can disassemble it and get your string, hook, lure, and bare pole.

Yeah, when you put a lure or bait on the pole that already has a lure or bait, you get the on on the pole back.
