cant get haven and hearth to work properly

Postby brutan52 » Thu Mar 08, 2012 10:40 pm

Hi I just upgraded to windows 7 64 bit and I cant really run Haven and Hearth. I try to run it on firefox or IE from the website and i get like 5 framerates per second. I try to run it on ender and it wont load my character. All my other games work fine. I have downloaded several versions of java several times and flash. Please help me fix the game I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Have you tried updating your video driver? How do other OpenGL games perform? I'd bet that this is the source of the problem for the moment. One option is to try going back to 32 bit Java and the 32 bit HnH client (assuming you're trying to use the 64 bit Java and HnH client).

FYI, HnH has absolutely no use for Flash. It is purely Java and OpenGL.

Yeah my video drivers are fine. I dont know about other OpenGL games. Can you recommend one to try to see if it works? I have tried 32bit java and 32 bit HnH client and stuff. I really want to fix this.... As far as OpenGl Games I was playing Age of Chivalry last night and it ran fine. Its a half life 2 modification.

When I access the control panel and access Java I access temporary internet files. From there, I access HnH and I dont have any framerate issues. Its a roundabout way to play the game but its the only way I can play without performance issues right now.

You should be able to make a shortcut to your desktop from there. If you configure Java properly, it will automatically place an icon on your desktop (or at least ask if you want one).
