Vanishing chests?

Postby MrSeagull » Sun Mar 18, 2012 11:50 pm

Had something odd happen to me and a nearby friend. All of our chests vanished. My land is claimed, his was not, and nothing else was disturbed. Anyone seen this before?

Probably got stolen. If you have ranging, turn on tracking and see if there are scents.

I thought that, but they had nothing valuable in them, and they ignored much more valuable containers, inlcuding the wagon.

Unfortunetly, I don't having ranging yet.

If by chests you mean crates then they deteriorate very fast if not on claimed AND paved land. Could be they just broke down when you were offline. And if they were indeed chests you're talking about than they're more valuable themselves and easier to carry away than a cart.

I suppose it doesn't matter too much, I have plenty of storage space. It just seems odd that people would invest the time and LP on stealing just to get some chests with junk in em. Being so new, I suppose, I'm still ignorant to the reasons behind these actions.

Theft is not necessary if the area is not claimed however.

What? When you fell on your keyboard Criminal Acts was toggled and then when you were picking yourself up you pushed your mouse onto the floor where your cat pounced on it and caused your guy to steal someone's cheese? That happens to me all the damn time.

Yeah, which would explain why my friend lost his chest, but mine was on claimed land.
