Java Errors

Postby bamump2k9 » Sun Apr 15, 2012 7:57 am

People are having issues with java not working after learning skills. The same issue happens when looking for new terrain or gaining uknown items. If you are having these issues mention it here so to not clutter up the bugs thread.

Quoting people for estimate head count:
fenrirfenix wrote:
This bug apparently started happening recently and the only thing that changed on the computer was that they added some new RAM sticks or something. The game loads like normal and everything seems fine. You can move around and scroll through the menus, but some items (mostly curiosities) appear only as the question marks. Then the game crashes with the "an error has occurred" window.

Computer is:
Windows XP Professional 2002
AMD Athlon 64 processor 3500
2.25 ghz
2 GB ram

The error report goes something like this
Code: Select all
javax.media.opengl.GLException: java.lang.RuntimeException: Delayed error in resource paginae/craft/dough_shewbread (v1), from forking source backed by HTTP res source (https://www.havenandhearth.com/res/)
   ... 28 more

roborooskie wrote:So here is what happened: I logged in and saw the honey was done (Yay my first honey!), so I put it in a bukkit. Then I made a backpack and looked for something I can cook now now I have the Honey. I saw a honeybun. when I clicked on it to see what ingrediens I need the game crashed! :S '' An error occured!'' . So I logged out and back in and tried again, AGAIN the error. Then I just ignored it and looked on the wiki for curio'' s and saw I needed birchbark (wich I never picked up before). So I went to the nearest birch tree and the moment the bark came into my inventory the game crashed! I have the error message here:

javax.media.opengl.GLException: java.lang.RuntimeException: Delayed error in resource paginae/build/bbasket (v2), from forking source backed by HTTP res source (https://www.havenandhearth.com/res/)

It lets me login and chose my name and stuff but once i leave it to go to wild it brings this message up and closes the game. I have reinstalled java 2 times and even reinstalled Haven and i still get this message. Can someone tell me whats wrong?

I have windows x64 with java 6u30 JE SDK installed if this helps

[code]javax.media.opengl.GLException: java.lang.RuntimeException: Delayed error in resource gfx/terobjs/trees/willow/06 (v1), from forking source backed by HTTP res source (https://www.havenandhearth.com/res/).....

auric wrote:Hey guys, just thought that I would actually take part in the forums since Haven and Hearth since I am getting an error and hope that one of you guys could help me out. So, when I was playing on the original client (because I can't get ender's client to work, a complete other problem :p) and I got an error message that made me close the client and the details spout off a bunch of code and idk what the hell it means. This happens instantlyeverytime I use my main now, but my alts are fine. I also tried using a different computer and had the same issue. I'd appreciate the help guys, thanks. :D

sn6494900 wrote:I have the same error. I was able to play a little earlier then I kept having errors so i would start a new character, finally i have an error right as I log in. Its the same code your having, I did some searching and I said a error in time syncs?? But My clock is reset and it's still having issues. Sorry to sound so dumb but I'm old..

battleslayer888 wrote:please help im getting same thing on my main

GenghisKhan44 wrote:Me five. Can't use Ender's client, either, unless someone knows if there might be a conflict between my NVIDIA FX and his client.

Fegelman wrote:I keep getting this too, the enders version is kind of weird, I have no idea what they mean by folder with run.bat file in it, so I cant use it.

bamump2k9 wrote:what is going on, now i'm having the same problem with glassmaking. It seems the bug is related to gaining new skills or maybe the items learned after gaining these skills

edit- stil not working, emptied cache and redownloaded. something is going on between the server and the client. i don't have anything up and this problem is just getting worse without anything we've done changing in the slightest.

crissame wrote:...And I have the same error

.. I don't use any custom client, only the regular client. Since custom client is pretty incompatible with my graphics card..

Yup, I had the same problem. My game crashed both times I tried to play as two different characters due to a java issue. Now both my characters are dead? What the heck?

So seems i've run into the same issue as a buncha ya'll O.o...effectively the set up was such. I was fishing and while doing so gained enough LP to gain Unarmed Combat. So i went to take it and the client crashed with ye 'ol java gobble-dee-gook. In trying to log back in it faild again. So i emptied my temp files n stuff of the sort loaded it again and found yet another way to not fix the problem <.< . Trying out my other lil dudes they loaded up just fine...
for you techniclly savvey types...
javax.media.opengl.GLException: java.lang.RuntimeException: Delayed error in resource paginae/atk/slide (v3), from forking source backed by HTTP res source (https://www.havenandhearth.com/res/)

Caused by: java.lang.RuntimeException: Delayed error in resource paginae/atk/slide (v3), from forking source backed by HTTP res source (https://www.havenandhearth.com/res/)

are the headings of the topics i can read with mass amounts of gobble-dee-gook between (which i have on a word pad 'case sum one knows what their looking for)...btw as a suggestion mayhaps getting a thing figred out for java to have a scroll bar attatched to the reports for those really long ones...example this one >.< cuz luckily i'm leat familiar wth crtl+a + crtl+c

also after trying to log in from my hearth fire instead of "where you last logged out" didn't resolve the issue either and as one final note...having this submission this long the scroll bare is having a seizure everytime i type a letter so if there's some typo's i balme it on that XP

due to deductive reasoning, i believe that the packets are dropping when your ip calls on them from the server. causes can include (but are not limited to) multiple torrents being up(on client end), server sharing (servers end), programming locations misspelled (server/client) or the occasionall bad connection.
This is just a total guess but i think since salem is up and so is hnh, that they are either conflicting with each others info packets due to packet sharing or one has gotten priority over the other in obtaining information packets.
