Tried using both java 6, and java 7, neither fixed the problem. I have also told my firewall to accept the program, and opened the ports 1870-1871 on the router. I keep getting this error.

I am at my wits end here... I am DIEING to play salem, but did not get into the beta, so now I go here and I can't even play this... Enders client tells me the connection is refused, and the normal client crashes with that error up before even reaching the login screen. I have seen TONS of threads similar to this, none helped me out, majority went unanswered. I use amd radeon so its not a problem with nvidia, I use windows 7, I tried both 32 and 64 bit clients, I tried re downloading the normal client, and take note the .bat files do not work for me in enders client, I have to run the haven.jar directly, otherwise the .bat files just open, then close, doing nothing.
I have tried fully disabling the firewall, still no luck. And I am close to putting my fist through the wall... So if you can help, please as soon as possible, reply.
