Destroying boats

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but if you are in a boat, then pick up a boat on claimed water, sail off the claim, get out of the boat and log out with criminal acts off, then the boat is destroyed leaving no scents (and you don't need theft). I guess it would be the same with logging in claimed shallows with an object over your head. That would leave no theft or vandal scents, only tresspassing.

That is correct. All items in it are destroyed as well.
