Broken bed?

Postby Koz » Tue Oct 13, 2009 2:17 am

I have a sturdy bed inside of my log cabin, and it has been in the same spot ever since i built it, and i've had no problems. Today however, right clicking on said bed yeilds no "sleep" command, it's as if the bed is not there, and of course, i cannot lift it either. Any suggestions? Any help?

I have the same problem with a bed outside. It is broken and needs repair, with how beds work, you can no longer access it.
I have put up a post but so far nothing has come from it, I doubt Loftar has seen it, or already knows...

Same issue. Mine was also inside a cabin, so it wasnt broken. It just cant be picked up.

In your case it's different, you can r-click the bed, choose sleep, and move before reaching it. That'll restore the bed's bounding box.

In their cases, the bed is damaged so the sleep option doesn't appear. So there's no way to return the bed's bounding box to repair it.
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

If Koz never moved his bed outside of the cabin, and items inside the cabin do not degrade, how did his bed get damaged?

On the other hand, thanks for the tip for fixing the problem with the bed. Too bad I left it behind last time I moved, heh.

In that case,
In the words of an ancient tale: "Someone's been sleeping in my bed!"

Nevyn's case is a bug though, and should be fixed by Dev action.

Try Blaze`s fix and tell us if it works. I am to far from my bed to do it myself, or I would.

I have same bug. built a sturdy bed outside, just a few days ago. slept in it fine one night, but when I logged back in several hours earlier, my travel weariness was restored by about 40% or so. since that single time, I have been unable to use that bed. can't click it, can't repair it, can't lift it, can't destroy it.
I made another bed, it works fine so far. but this is definitely a bug that should be checked.
