Chickens running through the wall

The worst monsters in the Hearthlands warp the fabric of space and time..

Chickens running through the wall

Why is that whenever you aggro the chickens and you're not right there to grab 'em they can run right through the walls?

I know it's a known bug, but I was curious as to why they do that.

Other than the obvious reason of saving their feathers, they probably aren't set to conflict with any kind of objects when running away, which is weird because they don't usually go through stuff when they're normally moving around, at least I don't think they do, most likely an error or a missing line that would keep them from going through stuff somewhere in their behavior.

They don't run over cliffs or through buildings or trees, just walls, at least that I've noticed. It's one of those annoying behaviors when I accidentally punch a chick with 0 attack trying to get a dead chicken that I kick myself for.

See, all kinds of bugs involving chickens.

Drop your chicken inside a house and then punch it. You can do that with multiple chickens without having to worry about them running away, and they usually just sit there and take your punches without trying to flee at all.

Some data from this side:
They do run away. (The first time. Probably only when you got the target directly out of the chicken coop.))
Dropping them to close to the border (inside a house) might actually drop them on the other side (oops). (ok, something you only will do one's)
Seems you get way more true fights inside a house. (taking forever if you got to turn a lot of chicks into chickens) (No point in dropping mature chickens inside, or outside, a house to kill them. Catch, and wring neck.)
Seems that outside your getting way more instant kills (again with chicks). (almost never get into a real fight with a chick outside. One hit, one kill (unless they where just out of range in the first place.))

We seem to have some wall-jumping exploiters here.

If you turn hide objects on, you'll notice that they actually run around the wall sections (through the gap between the sections) rather than through the wall itself.

It seems that chickens themselves have a very small hit box.
