Dead when I logged in...

Hi,

I've only been playing H&H for a few days and I love the game. There are some technical issues (like the terrible lag) but nothing game wrecking, so I can live with it. However, I just went to log in and my character was dead for some reason. He was alive a few minutes ago with full health and pretty much full food, but now he's not. I haven't gotten the trespassing skill so I can't have been summoned and killed so what's going off? Is it a bug?

There's a 5 second delay on logout so someone or something probably happened by and killed you :v

Click your new character button and check if there's a runestone with their name on it.

Do you have rage and ko'd anyone?

Do you have a wall?

Can you respawn at your HF when you incarnate and go up the ladder?

Do you see their body?

He said he doesn't have trespassing, so odds are he doesn't have rage.

It might have been a account bug, But I doubt it will be one. Create a new character and see if you can inherit from the old character to see if he did actually died.

Thanks for the responses. Didn't have rage and can inherit, so he definitely died somehow. I hadn't attacked anything but there was a boar on the screen when I logged out. I've seen a lot of boars before and they've never aggro'd on their own but maybe that's possible?

On a slightly different note, are the devs still working on this? I saw that the lag has been an issue for months (hence the loss of active players) and I know they're busy trying to get Salem out... Not complaining or anything, just genuinely interested.

The few seconds delay when you log out is intended. They put it in there on purpose.

As for the boar: yes they aggro on their own. I'm willing to bet money that the boar is your killer

That would explain it - damn boar...! I must have just been lucky all the other times Very frustrating as I'd only just reincarnated due to my first experience with the swimming skill. Cheers.
