Boiling Mussels Gave Ash

I don't know how it happened, as the screen was minimized during boiling. I was boiling mussels and when I restored the window, 4 mussels had turned into ash. Not sure how to reproduce :s

What quality were the mussels that weren't Q10?

They were q14 mussels. The ones that turned to ash were q35 mussels.

Some possible options:
- Its a prank from OP.
- Some other prankster playing a trick on OP while he was not looking.
- Perls can be boiled to now. (seems very unlikely, but ... Well its at least easy to test (kinda). )
- Dead or spoiled mussels perhaps. (unlikely to)
- ???

There is really no way to disprove this. However I would hope that you or the rest of the community didn't think as lowly of me as to suspect me of playing such a lame joke.

Also, I am positively sure that the only thing I had in my inventory beforehand was mussels.

There is really no way ...

Until its shown to be a game feature or (possible) game hickup. Its, unfortunately, a valid option in my mind that should not be dismissed. No Matter who is presenting the case. (Ergo: its nothing personal.)

Even if you did had something else in you inventory (but forgot). Its still interesting. As I know of no items that can be boiled to ashes.

Aha. I'm by no means all knowing in the HnH department. If KOed is mandatory for that option, than that option is out.

I think borka is joking. Although he puts up a interesting point. What is the ash tooltip text? (as I'm not aware of any "Pearl Ash".)
