Black screen and then nothing

Hi I was trying to start the game. First attemp resulted in a window with a black screen in it. Second try. A nice button "New character" appear: I press it "loading..."
Then nothing new happens. Still "loading" and if try to wait by googling around with the browser when I come back the game client window is transparent. Waited 10 minutes before shut down again the process with task manager :/

4th attemp what a pity, looking at screenshots that was really looking a good game

can you please give some Information about what OS? Bit? Java version? PC/Notebook? Graphiccard and driverversion?

Win vista 32 bit, Ati HD 4570, Java up to date, notebook, vendors drivers...

Now game run nice .. maybe server overloaded?

nice that it runs now The game server prolly can't be overloaded as there are now around 250 players average online while there has been an average of 500, even 1000 before. But the server programming has a flaw that causes lag - which is hopefully going to be fixed - consider reading in the announcements subforum...

My guess was something with notebook grafikcard (overheating or not enough vid mem at that time) for the frozen task and for not being able to connect the way your internet provider routed the traffic to server...
