I reviewed the Forum(s) but I thought I would also check in personally and see for myself how bad the lag (still) is, but I am stopped by this error:

Sorry, but I have no clue what that all means.

I am on a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro, OS X Version 10.8.2 with 4 GB of RAM.
I am up to date on Java.

Along with the error message I also get the background music and a blank (all white) window.

I suspect it is my OS - Mountain Lion causing the problem. It has been buggy since I installed it. I wish like hell I had stuck with Snow Leopard. :(

is it possible to update your video card drivers on a mac? it looks like it is having some problem either loading open gl or drawing something with it.

Well that was interesting. There is a driver update for my puny GT 320M graphics card, but you need to go directly to NVidia to get it AND disable the firewall to open and run it. It is designed to work with my new OS Mountain Lion.
Unfortunately, it does not correct the problem.
I get the same error message and blank window, but this time, no music.

Still, it was a good idea. I seriously doubt Apple will ever bother to include this in one of their Software Updates, and it might resolve some of the issues I am having with this new OS.

In reviewing the Forums, it appears like H&H is essentially unchanged. So if I cannot get the game to run, it is not a such a big deal. Still, it would be nice to confirm this through first hand experience. So any other suggestions/ideas would be appreciated.

Well Coriander i think it's a problem with Jogl - not sure if latest stable Jogl 2 rc 10 is working with 10.8.2 - i only know it's not with 10.8.1...and rc11 is still in testing...(btw. i got no newer mac here)

Sadly i have some RL stuff to do so it will take some time to check that - you might give Ender a try and get the jogl and gluegen yourself (http://jogamp.org/deployment/jogamp-cur ... atforms.7z) and drop natives for mac in Ender folder. The Ender included windows one should give a clue which you'll need. Don't forget to grab the Ender update.zip too and unpack into your Ender folder.

I have a MacBook Pro 2012 Version and it works just fine for me and I run Enders (Mac Edition) 32 bit with no trouble.... could give that a try he has a Mac version made already I found it on the forums a while back the only thing that you can't do on the Mac version is see Idem Quality before holding your mouse bar over it and no radar, I would think just running bootcamp would be ideal....that's what I do since Mac always has troubles running any program now a days!
