mussel bug or bad luck?

Well it starts to be annoying.
So far my new char boiled about 500 mussels without any pearl.
The char is on full industry, cauldron ql 102, water 10

my question is: is it just bad luck, bug or i am doing something wrong?

Cooking a River Pearl Mussel into a Boiled River Pearl Mussel, will very rarely result in a pearl in addition to a boiled mussel.

The odds of obtaining a pearl is 1% per mussel.

Loftar stated on IRC on the 27/8/2010 that "No", obtaining a pearl does not depend on your nature/industy belief.
A pearl's quality is equal to the uncooked mussel's quality, unmodified by cauldron, water, or cooking skill.

well i know wiki i could youte you that from memory BUT

if true is that you have 0.01 chance for single succes you have 0.99 chance for a single fail

chance of 500 fails at row are 0.99*0.99*0.99 ... = 0.99^500=0.00657...

so you have twice bigger chance that you will have pearl with a single mussel than for such bad luck so it's quite uncommon

i know you know wiki and i know there are different threads about it... with a "chance of 1%" there should be one pearl in 100 mussels but i know i had times when i boiled 800+ without a pearl, 3 days later i boiled a LC full and got 2 pearls from it... nobody knows but Loftar and maybe his random pearlthrower algorithms
