Game Client Help

Ok, so I'm obviously having one HELL of a problem here.

When I click the Play button at the middle top, the Java Web Start Application whatchyamacallit opens up, and it tells me it's Downloading Haven....and thats as far as it gets. I waited for an hour to no end. Granted, that a problem my computer has with java in the first place, but its gotten big enough I have to ask, and Java's main site is of no help.

So, anyway, it goes anywhere from 1/3 downloaded to 2/3s, and stops. I have tried and failed to use other clients.

The reason why I say my computer is partly to blame is because of Runescape, which also uses Java. When I open that, the loading screen comes up, and rarely goes away.

Anyone know why Java dies off part-ways through? I've re-installed java twice, so if its a problem with java, then thats one thing, but i doubt it. I just don't tamper with program files in the C drive, so if i've done something wrong, i seriously need to know. Any experts know anything?

the "origional" client doesn't work. your gonna have to try out and use a modified client.

as to gettin the clients to work, if you read up on the last 15 pages of that thread, i believe that you will get your answers on what to do with java.

default client still works!!! - joojoo's hint with using Ender client is worthy
