Can't connect, but the servers are up!

The title says it all.
Every time I try to log in it says "Could not connect". I've tried a system restart and turning off firewall, but I had no success. Any ideas as to what this could be and how to solve it?

In Firewall make exceptions for UDP port 1870 and TCP port 1871.

You might try different times to connect till the login "reaches" the server...i need to do it several times too...

Also you might give Ender custom client a try...viewtopic.php?f=27&t=14575

Ah! Thanks, the Ender client seems to work.
One question though, does the Ender client use the same server as the regular one? I was introducing a friend to the game and need to know if I need to inform him of Ender to play together.

There is only the one server. Ender is just a client.

did you grab the Ender update.zip too and unpack into your Ender Folder?

What internet connection are you using? Try a different network setting in your Java Control Panel : "direct connection"...
