Freeze on start up

Postby Ishiku » Thu Jan 03, 2013 4:50 am

So, i was playing just fine yesterday, tried again today and this happens, it loads for a split second, then nothing, just sits like this http://i47.tinypic.com/2wo93fb.png

Also, it goes to a pure white screen when i try to change resolutions, doesn't happen on vanilla client, but as i said it was working with ender's last night, so i dunno :z

Well it ain't soo bad that machine for HnH - mine is even older and a bit less capable, also AMD CPU x2 250 and chipset 740G with graphics Radeon 2100...(doesn't make sense to play HnH on my better but much more powerconsuming machine) :D

Good using pastebin - from what i see your OS isn't updated - says Vista SP1 where it should be SP2 (?).

So i guess you'd better run the MS Updater first...best user defined search so you might get some newer drivers too...

Afaik your machine comes with 64Bit Vista so you'd grab the 64Bit Java and also 64Bit Ender, the latest legacy graphics driver is 12.6 - get it too:
(US language page but Catalyst software suit contains different languages - see description)

If you have some spare money: grab 2 more 2GB DDR2 800 (PC2-6400) Modules

and maybe upgrade to Windows 8 ;)

Seen some TechSmith codecs - are you using Camtasia?

hth - report back pls
