Un-mineable tile?

I'm in level 1 of a cave. I built a minehole and was digging towards a nearby cave. I wanted to put in a milestone system to lazily find cave curios. The problem is this. At one point, I came across a pair of tiles I can not mine. I get no error message, and I can not walk over them. (I thought they might be glitched out. But I guess not.) I have tried leaving the cave, and coming back. Still same issue. I also tried mining on two different chars, to no avail.

I'm not trying to sound like I'm whining. Just find it really odd.. I was able to dig around it though. So I guess it's not a big deal. But what the hell...

yep really odd - i can see no reason why they shouldn't be minable...

Somebody mentioned it may be that there's a entrance to a cave within 50 tiles of that spot. But I can mine around it.. Hopefully it's just a graphical glitch that'll fix itself with a server restart.

if there'd be a cave entrance with unmineable tiles you wouldn't be able to dig around those

Thet's really weird, though I can't say I've ever seen anything like it.
