Can't oath my party member

until now i could oath my kin by inviting him to a party and then casting Oath of Allegiance to the portrait
then right after this huge lag that passed by a few hours ago, i can't oath my party member unless he's in my visual range
is anyone else suffering from the same problem?

if i'm doing something wrong please let me know.

are you both outside of buildings and on the same world level (surface, cave/level 1 mine, level 2 mine, etc)?

He must be on the same level as you. So not in a house/basement/2nd floor/cave level etc etc. If you are in mining layer 3, then he must be. If you are in cave level, then he must be.

Not completely, a lawspeaker (or cheif) can oath another lawspeaker, but that lawspeaker can't accept the oath until he renounces lawspeaker
