[Solved]can't dig clay

I know it might not be a node before anyone says it, but I can't even dig 1 on my character. I just get the hourglass thing as if I'm digging then nothing. so I walked from 1 river across land(about 5 minimap grids) to another river and still no clay. I thought maybe it was a glitch so I logged out made a new character and he can't dig clay either...

and they're nowhere near each other if that helps.

edit: continued testing on alts, can dig clay at a node but still glitched if there isn't a node.

I logged out for a while and let the map despawn, still can't dig clay, did they change something with digging that 1 clay? is anyone else having this problem?

i could dig on 4 of 5 mudflats getting 1 clay (Ender and Pottery Skill)

I only got the foraging and just digged clay.

I was only checking for ball clay...but I found a mud flat just to be sure. can't dig there either

you might be just unlucky and dug where you even won't get a single clay

several hours later, after logging out to take a nap before work, and I still can't dig clay...I know theres probably not a node here so its not game breaking, but it does sort of suck

glitch has somehow resolved itself after I looted some clay a noob left in a wicker basket I can now dig and get my 1 piece for discovery
