I usually have the same problem when my internet's not running up to speed. Usually when my bandwidth is being chomped up and my ping's not too good.

Does your friend have poor internet?

Ports are TCP 1871 and UDP 1870

Make Exceptions for ports in Firewall / Router Firewall

What Antivirus Programm? What Firewall Programm?

What Antivirus Programm? - Microsoft Security Essentials

What Firewall Programm? - Firewall Windows - made a rule for incoming connections - there is no effect (computer not overloaded)

Router Firewall - included, but it can not be disabled or reconfigured ..

The solution is to go into your Nvidia control panel, which can be found in your start menu.

Under the header 3D settings, click on "manage 3D settings"

Now, look for the option "Threaded Optimization". If it is set to auto, then this is the source of the problem. Change it to off.
