Nettle shirt gave me linen cloth discovery

Okay so I made better Nettle gear for my main. Switched it on, put old ones to chest for alt to take them. When I shift+clicked nettle shirt on equipment screen i get discovery effect and according to attached screenshot of mnessages, I "discovered" linen.

this happened to me also last world although i didn't pay much attention to it i just thought of it again when you brought it up.

its not a bug, you discovered linen by having linen shirt/pants in your inventory for the first time when you wore a nettle gear.

That would explain it rather nicely but the alt was already wearing netlle gear when i switched better quality gear on.

Oh, I guess I forgot to mention that shift+cliking nettle gear consumed it?

try this.
1. make a new char.
2. wear the shirt/pants you get at the creation room.
3. take your linen shirt/pants off by double-clicking (i think?),
4. *jingle* you discover linen.

let your new char wear a stone axe, a bonesaw, or whatever "discover"able. take them off and your new char would discover them.
its how the system works.
