Fix bears please?

Ok, im sick of it.
Everyone, ah screw that, only the ones able to kill them "legit" know the problem. Bears running away with sprint speed.
It is in fact not that much of a problem since they get stuck fast, but not everytime. There were some bears running away from me until i lost track already, because they just turned at the river and ran in a different direction.

So why is that bad?
1. Guys who cant kill them "legit" have the advantage anyway, they dont take armor dmg, and bears dont run away from them.
2. It makes no sense at all. Why would a bear go into BERSERKER RAGE just to run away?

And no, sometimes they run away if they hit me.

So please, its okay that you cant catch foxes sometimes because you cant sprint, but bears.... really.

i agree 100%, i've had several run away and it's really irritating. sometimes they get far enough away to drop combat and then if you find them later you only get like 1000 LP :(

I am well aware that the current AI is flawed. I just need to figure out a better structure on which I can actually build and experiment with AI. The current structure is too convoluted to do anything meaningful with.

All animals are supposed to flee from players, to make ranged weapons more viable.

I haven't ever pissed of a bear IRL and certainly don't intend to either :p, but I have a feeling if you do and it hits rage, it's not going to run away from you.

Go troll somewhere else. They dont run away when you kill them melee while they cant reach you. So how exactly does this make ranged weapons more viable?
