Won't open at all

Hey, everyone. I came here from the ProJared video, and I am very interested in participating in this game. I made an account and clicked "play", and it downloaded. A Java 7 loading pop-up appears for a second, then disappears, and nothing happens. What's up with that? I've tried it many times and I cannot actually get any progress. Nobody seems to have the same problem as me, either, so I feel that this may be a huge noob error on my part. I will accept the title of a noob, however, in return for some gameplay. Thanks in advance.

Before you say it, yes, I have the most recent version of Java installed.

Try with Java 6
Use this instead of the default client: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=14575

Thank you, but that seriously didn't help at all :?

I should explain that I don't know much about computers, so when I looked into the tutorial, I was surprised to see that I had to do a bunch of stuff I am not used to. I imagined this whole time that I would click the play button, and I would just play. Downloading things that are malicious and following poorly worded instructions lead to me giving up pretty fast.

The GUI installation is not required, correct? It only makes the game less complicated, which is something I am not concerned about yet. The only thing I care about is actually running the game.

Is this game not compatible with certain types of Java?

The Ender's client is easier to fiddle with if you have problems.
Try running autohaven.jnlp in cmd (command prompt) and then what does it say in the command window?

Thank you very much for your help. It turned out that what I thought was the actual game...wasn't the game.

Lock this thread and hide my shame. Or sticky it. Do what you want, I'm playin' this crap!

[EDIT]: Connection refused: connect

What.

You may want to look up the definition of "malicious". Here, I'll help: Malicious.
The client he linked you is not malicious, and will not harm your computer in any way.

The game is also compatible with both Java 6 and Java 7. I am using the latest version of Java 7 myself.

A little more information may help - what operating system are you using, and is it 32bit, or 64bit?
