Can't Make Character

I am a new player, and i pressed the 'New Character' button, and nothing happened. ?????? Is this a bug, or do I have to wait for a while? I even closed the browser and
then pressed play again and it still didn't work!!!

when you click new character youre supposed to be taken to a small room with a few npcs and a pool in the middle, when youre there rightclicking one npc will toggle your gender (you gotta do it once, you start as a whisp) and the other lets you pick a name. the third lets you start near a friend if you know his heart secret. also dont forget the stuff in the chest.

if you arent taken to that room within like 10 seconds of clicking new character then it is a bug. cant help you there though, hopefully someone else can.
