Crops growing through tiles?

I paved over a piece of partly grown wheat, but now it is just wheat growing through the stone. I assume that this is a bug. I also saw this on someone's house.

Not sure if a bug or a feature, but no, crops aren't destroyed when you pave over them. The only way to remove is to harvest. Some people have used this to make "vine covered" walls and such.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

'Bug'. It only matters if the tile is plowed when planting it. Afterword, you could plant a house on top of it and it would still grow.

Oh, I thought it was just a graphical bug, where it would stay there forever.
Thanks anyways. :)
