Getting kicked out while hunting

The game kicks me out every time I try to hunt. The moment I try to shoot at an animal the game freezes and it takes several minutes to get back online. I can log in but I don't get past the screen where you can choose the character you wanna play with. This is rather annoying, and getting real dangerous if I am not on a boat but on the shore and an animal is attacking me.
Does anyone have an idea why this is happening?
I got no troubles at all with the game when I'm not hunting.

Do you use the auto drinker function in Enders? I found that happened to me if it is turned on while engaged in combat...Not sure if that has been replicated elsewhere by others.

use a fresh clean install of Ender to check whether it's a problem with client (or conf files)

More information about HW, OS, Java , client, Bit versions would help ...

Custom-res file was the problem.
