No village idol to renounce role of law speaker

Around a year ago my friends and I created a village. Myself as law speaker. I logged in recently and I assume the village idol has been destroyed/decayed. Which leaves me a problem for I can not leave my village. Anything I can do besides drowning myself lol?

What happens when you try to teleport to the village idol?

If there really is no idol, then PM jorb/loftar about it.
But you know what they say when you assume, you make an ass out of u and me, so make sure there really is no idol.

I've tried teleporting to village on my current law speaker, a former chieftain, and an alt I oathed. The hourglass shows up and then nothing.

Do we both need to be online at the same time to troubleshoot? I tripled checked and there is no idle anywhere close to our village.
