Stuck in a Goatish fiasco

I'm surrounded by dead goats, carrying a dead goat (cuz i picked it up to get out and they piled me faster than i could crawl), and in combat.

So besides waiting for server to crash...how to resolve this?

I had the same problem with aurochs. After clicking for a while I managed to find a spot where I could escape. Maybe the same thing works for goats.

i clicked for about 20 minutes. It's crazy. Thing about goats it there's just so goddamn many of them.

Serisouly though. With Aurochsen it was slightly less of a problem because their herds barely made ten. This goat flock was 20 count.

can you butcher while lifting something?

nope. but it would help a great deal.
butchering instead of lifting works though.

Yeah, just don't lift any. As soon as you're completely surrounded, butcher/take bones until you have a safe passage out. Imagine doing that in real life, with an axe.

If possible, fight them in shallow water.
