Knocked out while carrying chest, now can't move

Postby Malicus » Sat May 30, 2009 7:59 pm

I was carrying a chest to somewhere, and I got knocked out by a fox. When I recovered, I was standing on the same space as the chest. My hands are still in the carrying motion, and I can't make any progress by left- or right-clicking anywhere, nor will it let me try to lift the chest again.

Once two boundingboxes overlap, you're stuck. That's just how it is for the moment.

Logging out and in again should "solve the problem", as you will probably log in at a different spot.

I just tried it, and I'm still there, probably due to still being aggroed by two foxes. I guess I'll log out again for a while so I don't burn my hunger. There's a negative consequence for it going all the way to zero, I'd assume?

Edit: I waited a while to relog this time, and it put me back at my hearth fire now.

I *think* you start taking damage when it goes that far. Hard damage, that is.

Upon further inspection, going back to where I think I died... I can't find the chest. Maybe it vanished since I logged off while still "carrying" it?

That's a bit weird. I thought I recently fixed so that precisely that thing wouldn't happen. I'll have to check out. Thanks for reporting it.

If you need any help getting knocked out, let me know.

Hi!

This same thing happened to me yesterday. Even a bit more weird. Someone tried to steal my chest and was carrying it away. So i took my bow and shot her. knockout -> i took the chest. when she stood up, she had her arms in the air. then, i put the chest down and the same happened to me, i had the hands up. i cant remember it perfectly now, but i think whhen i put the chest down i also couldnt move anymore. or she couldnt, or something like that.

cheers

The same thing happened to myself and Starchaser. I tried to help him carry the basket, and when he logged out of the game, the basket and all the contents disappeared.
