Steel Crucible Decay Rate

Postby Twentytwos » Thu Mar 18, 2010 5:42 am

Of this last week i have lost 5 steel crucible's all while cooking wroughts.
Terrain : Mountian / Pave / Claimed / Walled
Refuel every 4-8 hours and check for repairs, have never showed decay and never needed repair.

Now im not sure if this a bug or just bad luck, any insight would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Whole decaying system could use a huge revamp =\

Fences that start deterioating after half an hour, lots of stuff that are instantly destroyed if hit with degeneration...the randomness is just meh as it is. It could still be kept but all items need a "date" stamp which is used to check how long that item has been around on that tile. Only allow the decay to take place after a certain amount of time has passed.

Decay rates seem to be off the chart. This may simply be due to the low civ levels (but then again, even in the biggest & baddest town in the game the animals still spawn at X level...).

Nothing like having your freshly built palisade have its cornerposts turned red overnight - and the nearby trees still not having branches ;-)

No thats not the problem i would be more then happy to repair them. Problem is the constant refueling them very 4-6 hours over the 56 hours keeping the quality temp high, sleeping in shift so you can make sure u get some good steel just to log on and find out you drying racks have out lasted you Brick and Iron built crucible. So i build another fuel it, load it, start it. Then log on and find another one or your 75% complete ones gone and this has been my basic cycle over the last week. Im in the process of moving all my metal construtions off the mountain and into my main camp and im hoping that will fix the issue of my cursed mountain lol.
