A plea for help, for I am in the abyss!

The worst monsters in the Hearthlands warp the fabric of space and time..

A plea for help, for I am in the abyss!

Help, my character logged off carrying a boat over his head, within one of the swamps that appears white. I can not log in there, and do NOT want to log in at hearth, for i've walked several hours from it! :o

Unfortunately, you have fallen to one of the features (or bugs) of the game. When you logged out, you dropped the boat at your feet; unfortunately, you can't log in when there is something solid (like a boat or a chair) in the same location.

I am beginning to think that there needs to be a fix to this problem since we see enough disconnects and other glitches (not to mention the server going down intentionally, or not, as it did just now) that we can't simply sit back and say "you shot yourself in the foot, get over it".

So I now lose my valued possesions, any hope I had for advancing in this game, and my dignity, all in one stupid god damned fucking mistake that's not said anywhere to be seen?

i joined two weeks ago and thought this game was great, now it seems to me that it keeps getting worse for me as a new player.

Some points:
  • You still have all your skills and can recover most of the things you made before too long.
  • If you are in this game for the long haul, two weeks isn't a lot to have lost.
  • This game is still considered to be in alpha testing so we expect problems (the game world went through a full restart a few months ago--everone lost everything including characters).

well your boat still exists... whereever u left it. if you lived with anyone, they can move the boat then u can log in.

I was all ready to praise you for suggesting the perfect solution, but...

i've walked several hours from it!

If he knows anyone that wouldn't doing that AND knew how to find him (that wilderness can be a bugger to navigate), he'll be one lucky guy.

So I'll praise you just a little bit ;)

Edit: I guess he could spawn an alt to go and rescue himself, but that would only solve the issue of losing his valuables, and not the issue of distance he needs to travel.

Some people are just naturally nice. I should know, I have two of them rotting under my bed.
