5 hours.... i was 5hours in on a trip to get 100 iron bars when the server crashed with a boat over my head, i was almost there aswel.
i.... its 5am now i spend a allnighter to get my town the iron as soon as possible and now its been for nothing.... im tired
please jorb and other guy whose name i cant remember right now cause its 5am and i spend the last 5 hours in a brain killing trip, please let us relog next to the item we carry when we get disconected as soon as possible... limit the amount of people that have to go through this.

I second this man's pain. Crossing a super-grid with a boat just seems to be begging for a server crash.

Suggestion? Whenever possible with an overland trip like that I travel with a boat-moving buddy. It is important that he doesn't carry anything. Then when the server crashes, he logs on first and moves the boat five tiles away, and then I can log on again "where I logged out" and pick the boat up.
It is well worth paying a relatively inexperienced player for a service like this. They get to travel and see the world, you get to keep them alive when two bears converge on you simultaneously, and they get to earn stuff that might be hard to get otherwise. First aid is normally included in the wages but iron and a full set of starter seeds is not too much to pay for this kind of insurance.
