Weird Lag on my computer only

I've been playing this game for a while on my computer, and my brother too.

But yesterday, something weird happened... My computer plays the game as if it was lagging... A lot...
But my bro has not that problem, and we have the same computer and same connection... Sorry I can't be more specific, but I really don't know whats the problem here.

Is there anyone with the same problem? Is there anyway a software recently installed might slow the game down?
If not, then tell me. I'll check to see if my computer has any problem other than that...



On a completely unrelated note... Is there anyway to know your coordinates in game?

I stumbled across a field while exploring earlier with literally HUNDREDS of yellow onions. While in the middle of the field my client began to lag to the point of being unusable, moving away helped bring things back to normal.

Think you could possible have too many things closeby? I'm a complete newbie just throwing out an idea.

I find that if I travel around too much without restarting the client, I will lag like crazy. Going from my village to constantinople to visiting sodom caused me to drop to about 3 FPS and it stayed that way even after leaving and going to a less populated area.

If it just randomly starts lagging after you've been playing a while, try restarting your client.

There is a memleak in the client, and as soon as the computer starts to swap (check HD led next time you lag) things will go south.

Are you using a laptop? I know people that play on laptops and when their charger isn't hooked up it creates a lot of lag. Perhaps that would be the case? Especially if it's the same computer and same connection. My other thought is you could be getting on when your ISP is having a lot of strain(such as right before a school day, right after school let's out, people getting on after work. etc.) so perhaps rearranging the times in which you get on might fix the problem. Just some basic stuff. I got 1000 suggestions for you and one is bound to be it haha
