[SOLVED] My dead corpse is stuck on my hearth fire!!!

My corpse was knocked out when I logged in and died from injuries ON TOP OF MY HEARTH FIRE. Now my reincarnated character can't move.

EDIT: It isn't a skeleton yet, how long does it take?
EDIT: I just logged in for one last try and managed to lift my skeleton off the HF.

I'm going to lose my entire fort. My brother can't pick up the corpse because it's surrounded by the pop-up name when you mouse over the hearth fire! I left the gate to our palisade open in the middle of a fight, so anyone can walk into our fort and steal everything.

oh, and i can't make a new one because "there is not enough space near this hearth fire"

try again, it chooses a random location so the more stuff there is close to it the more likely it will try in a occupied location, just keep trying and youl et lucky eventually even if it place is packed full.

unless your fire was inside, i dont think you can add a 2nd inside.

there is no way to spawn another hf in a house. neither by friendspawn nor dead, afaik

Here's what I think happened.

I logged out when I had stepped on a thorn.

When I later logged back in, I had passed out and had a double effect of thorn in my foot but only one image. It smashed my low HHP down to nothing and I died. ON MY HEARTH FIRE. I made a new character to reincarnate and he got stuck on my dead body. I managed to steal the fort's key and some other important stuff from my dead corpse, but that was all I could do.

I still can't get the key to the fort's gate now. Loftar, you and your stupid bugs...

Now I not only have to completely restart, but my fort is now jammed open for whoever wants to come in and steal our crops...

For the record, I am okay with dying. The reason I'm agitated is that I had to COMPLETELY restart my character and couldn't use my reincarnated one.
