Fishing Pole

I use to be able to attach woodfishes to my fishing pole all the time, but for some reason I can't attach em anymore... And it still says that I need a fully equiped fishing pole.
I have everythign attached except for the woodfish (lure). When I left click the woodfish then drag it then right click onto the fishing pole equipped it wont attach? Can anyone help me?

Do you have another woodfish attached already? Try attaching a rock lobster and see if you get a woodfish on your cursor. I suspect that either your line or your hook broke, rather than your lure.

I found this out the hard way, it's one of the other ingredients that has decayed, either your hook or your line. and you are successfully putting an new lure on your hook, it's just the old one that was on there before is coming off into your hand
