Frequent disconnection and lag issues.

Okay, something screwy is going on here. When playing Haven and Hearth, I FREQUENTLY encounter disconnects, slowdown, and semiconstant complaints from our router (a 2WIRE model) about inability to connect to our ISP.

While it has happened before, it previously happened somewhere around once or twice a month. For the last two days, it's been happening approximately TEN TIMES A DAY.

Why is this?

It only happens when playing H&H, though.

Your router is probably overloaded with packets.

I have the exact same problem! I made a post about it earlier but did not get any helpful information, but I too am using a 2WIRE wireless router with frequent disconnects. It has gotten so bad that I can only play for about 20 seconds before I get disconnected.

Regarding the potential overloaded packet issue, is that just a hardware issue or is there something that can be done to fix that? Not very tech savvy, but it would be very nice to get this fixed so I can play.

In case you use pacho's client: disable the IRC part of it and test again.

No, I'm using the vanilla client.

It varies. Sometimes I can play for hours, and then other times it'll just die horribly forever.

When I first started playing I never had any trouble. Then I tried using Pacho's but I never got it to work. Since then I have been having sporadic trouble. I have even tried strange things such as using different browsers to start the game (Firefox, IE, downloaded) and sometimes it *seems* like it helps, but I doubt it. I've tried resetting my router and restarting my computer. Nothing like that has seemed to make a noticeable affect on the connection. And just for clarification, I too only have the problem when playing H&H.
