Recent items are always lost during a crash

I just lost 2 jars of rust root to a crash because I took them out of a cupboard earlier, about 7-10 minutes. At first I thought I maybe dropped them but then I saw my new prospecting skill wasn't on my toolbar so it obviously reset my character. This is just pretty disheartening with how much the server crashes on a daily basis.

EDIT: More things from 10+ hours ago like my beehives have been reset too
EDIT: Every item I took out in the last 10 hours has been reset and lost.

Maybe rustroot isn't that great but you could lose far better items. I know this is alpha and bugs happen can't have mods fix every little problem I have for this free game but this is considerably annoying and dangerous.

Yet another reason never to carry your keys on you, and instead use a key alt.

Or at least don't take them in and out of containers, I think if it's on your character long enough it'll be saved to you. Key alt seems annoying.

isn't a key alt kind of stupid & annoying? What if it crashes on him? It really doesn't solve the problem at all..

keys are never supposed to get out of the key alt ._.

If you hit the buy button on the character screen, it saves the character and its inventory.
