The Bedbugs bite

I know the devs are aware of the bed bug, but my issue is a little different.

The character sleeping in my bed is my ancestor, who is dead. Since he's dead, I have no way of removing the Ghost of Bedtime Past from it.

I don't know if the devs are capable of finding people in-game and changing things, but if you can, the dead character is Professor Dundee, in a straw bed in the log cabin on a claim owned by The_Professor.

Otherwise, I suppose I need to learn murder and exorcise the ghost myself?

You should be able to destroy the bed and make a new one.

You can't attack sleeping characters, dead or alive. I would try to destroy it, and if you can't, then you will need to contact one of the devs, I guess.

Yeah, I ended up destroying the bed, worked without a hitch.

By the way, is there some sort of "No Bump" feature for posts like this? I don't want to bump this to the top when I have no further on topic questions.

Unless you necropost, I doubt anybody gives a crap.

But, yeah, beds are weird in that, if you teleport to hearth/village idol on login, the bed will stay occupied. It wouldn't be that huge of a deal if players other than the person that used the bed could clear it.
