First time I played this game as an absolute shitter, I had some random russian guy on a horse walk past my tiny hermit shithole (that had a palisade).
The guy looks at me and says "do not escape". I just stare at him wondering if he's stupid, cause I'm already behind my closed gates. I didn't need to escape anything.

Anyway, he meant to tell me to not run away, cause he wanted to ask some question.

This was in 2018 I think, world 10 was already dead.

Oddest thing for me was a few worlds back. I was outside working and not paying attention, a white arrow appeared near me and the combat screen popped up. Someone runs up with a helmet, mask, armor, sword, and shield ...Oh well, I'm dead. He swings the sword once and I lost about a third of my hp, I return fire (haymaker, uppercut, some such) and he falls down dead. I got a full set of steel armor, about q300, a steel sword, troll belt, and some decent tools. Buried him the next day, no idea of name, it was in some east Asian language.

FWIW, my character couldn't have dropped a fox with one blow (strength was less then 300).

I've faced some funny scene that is resembling toon cliches, it was early world and I did my chores inside my palisade near wall.
Some guy on horse approached closer to the wall, he had some decent gear but far from top. He aggroed one of the deer that were in my screen also, idk if he decided to hunt to show off or this situation was his best shot, but during fight deer started to flee, he followed it and they both disappeared from my screen.
In just few moments, I see that same guy running without horse from the pack of wolves in reverse direction he ran for the deer, seeing this picture was funny af.

I was out foraging with my wife and we walked past a small hermitage. We noticed the guy living there taming a cow. We went to his wall to cheer him on but then noticed he was trying to punch the cow through its armor. Moments later he was knocked out on the floor and I fear we made him feel bad with our chatter about the situation. He logged off and we never saw him again.


The other story is when I was playing in my village and thought about doing something nice for an aspiring hunter. I left a few chests of peppered food at his doorstep so he can boost his stats faster by using his hp as a resource. My mistake was forgetting to tell him the food was peppered. His mistake was trusting me not to poison his food.
