So I died, but..

Postby CaptainMidget » Tue Sep 01, 2015 11:50 am

I found my corpse and now all my HHP is refilled. I didnt understand the hunger meter and was stuck between 25% and 90% for a few days. I inherited all my stuff, via discovery brought all of the skills I had back. My stats are already higher then previously via my stockpile of fish. I think this turned out to be a good thing. Yes, I already had my claim.

I had a slow start, now Im having an exceptionally faster one. God bless 300%.

From what I've been told, it's totally perma death, no inheriting. You can spawn at your old hf though.

You inherit your old claim and the Yeomanry skill.

This is a bug, but for a short while after I inherited my character, I had everything unlocked from the skills before, as in craftables and buildables.. It changed once i started buying skills. Someone should tell Jorb/Loftar or post it in the bug section, i dont have time atm.

That sounds like the old inheritting bug all over again from haven, at this point in time i think it should be considered a feature.

Some aspects of inheritance right now

  • You do not inherit discoveries, but the action menu is not properly rebuilt when you die, so it looks as if you do. It probably rebuilds once you buy a skill or such. We are considering how this works.
  • You presently only inherit claims, and no percentage of LP, skills, or the like. This is as intended.

I love it, LOVE It. This is one of the best additions to the game that wasn't the beautiful overhauls. Permadeath is permadeath, and it's a wonderful world.

A bitchy, sometimes frustrating, incredibly scary world... But a wonderful world.

Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.

Agreed on the permadeath part. All or nothing, the old system had a differing impact of death depending what you did ingame and the unfairness punished the wrong groups imo. This way at least all suffer equally.
