Jorb - Your Party Arrow is BROKEN.

I just spend 3 hours trying to use the party arrow to lead an alt to my main acct. IT IS BROKEN. The arrow led me to circumnavigate a massive lake only to lead me 360 degrees around it back where I started. I discovered the arrow follows an X-marks-the-spot-when-you-party-up on the map and when you get close to the X, the arrow disappears and you have to leave the party and join again to get a new X which takes you to another dead end spot. Every time I did this, the arrow took me off in an opposite direction from the previous arrow. I go left around a lake and the arrow points right. I go right around the lake and the arrow points left.

The system is totally broken and I am frankly sick of wasting my time.

If I cant get my alts together, I am done with this game.

There shouldn't be a party arrow if this is the case.

I noticed something wonky going on with the party arrow as well, but I never reached the end. I would walk towards it for hours, even though my main was only two hours away, tops. Sometimes I would walk perpendicular to the arrow, and it would seemingly move slightly up and down in accordance to the direction I walked, as if I was close enough to my target for it to be noticeable, then reset itself back to its original position, as if I hadn't moved at all. Yet other people don't seem to have an issue with it? I'm hearing praise about it being back in the game, at least.

Perhaps this should be moved to Bugs if we can agree there might be something up?

If the character who's arrow you are attempting to follow goes idle/stops moving for a short amount of time, then the party arrow will begin to display very weird behavior. However, in my experience it will resume functioning properly once the target player moves again. Obviously the target player should remain outdoors while you are following them or you will lose the arrow altogether.

Arrows been broken in legacy, salem, and in this one. Never trust arrows .Try clicking party boxes instead.

Bizarre. I've only had issues with the party arrows once, and that was using Ender's Client back in legacy haven, so I assumed it was the client mucking up. Arrows have worked fine in both Salem and Hafen for me, they have that effect where it moves as if you're really close to the target, but it resets every 5-10 seconds so I assume it's only refreshing occasionally in order to reduce the load on the server.

Party arrows NEVER worked properly unless you kept the character that you're going towards move at least every few seconds.
