Cloak dissappointment

So the fur cloaks just simply dont do naything? Neither the Hide cloak nor the Fur Cloak gives any stats?
Neither do the poor mans gloves and belt (rather cheap so i'd get that)
quite dissapointing to spent "10" hides on a cloak and not have it give me any benefits

so is it just that some items don't give stats, or do cloaks, gloves and belts not give any stats at all? I'd love to know before I spend more resources in vain.

Indeed!

Why is it criminal to have inventory slots dedicated to aesthetics man? LET US BE PRETTY.

I don't mind cosmetics :) But it's highly unrewarding if I don't know it is a cosmetic - and expect it to give me stat boosts, since my last 5 items gave it.

Edit: I like how the items dont tell you outright what stats they give either, before you take them on
But, there's a difference between rewarding exploration, and unrewarding - if it doesnt give my any stats, then the result is going to be that I just don't try it - becuase it costs too much and it doesnt give me anything back.

exploring the unknown should carry the risk of turning up nothing. It'd be unreasonable for every piece of equipment to have an arbitrary stat boost attached to it just for the sake of not being "unrewarding"
Oh boy, here I go cheesemaking again...
